Oh wow, I absolutely love the colors of the sky in this one, and the mountains in the back give it some nice depth, and the placement of that tree is perfect, all in all, it's a great shot.
keep it up!
Oh, I didn't mean that it was dark as in shadowy, but dark as in a little low contrast -- the midtones might have washed it out a little in the upper third of the picture - see how the top gets alittle grey? Thats all I'm talking about.
seems like a nice photo but i have a small complaints/critique. First, I don't think there is enough contrast in this photo. It seems a bit too dark for my tastes. Also, having the horzion in the middle sort of bugs me, yet I also see how it contributes to this piece. but overall, i like the tree and the bit of orange in the sky
1. Make sure your horizon is horizontal, not tilted at all. It's really noticeable.
2. More sky. All that dark dark land should be cut (about the bottom 1.5 inches of the image), but keep the tracks running through the grass. The sky and horizon are much more interesting than dark land
Good image, great colors, neat location. You could probably just crop this a bit and it'd be much more effective.
